For people in the U.S., Thanksgiving is a special 4-day weekend. First, you overeat, then you go to the mall for the most crowded shopping day of the year. Also, for many, the weather will be misearable.

CoolTop is offering an alternative where the weather will be nice and there will be no mall to go to. But, just to not make it totally different, we will offer you a change to overeat. While this special weekend is targeted for those that want to fly down for a long weekend escape, people from the U.S. but living in Nicaragua are also invited to attend.

The full package assumes you will fly down on Wednesday, November 25. We will pick you up at the airport in Managua and whisk you up to CoolTop. Thursday morning you will wake up in a pine forest but at a moderate temperature.

Next you will be treated to a late brunch and a chance to hang out and explore the facility. While it won't be time to pick the coffee, you certainly can take a walk through the plants and see where the excellent coffee we serve comes from.

Late Thursday afternoon you will be treated to a Thanksgiving dinner Nicaragua-style. Ok, not like you would get in town on the same day but with a lot of local ingredients. Then, after overeating (optional), we will treat you to an evening of entertainment.

Friday, as an alternative to a trip to the mall, we will offer you a local trip exploring the region. We promise to keep you far away from any malls.

Friday evening will be another dinner at CoolTop and an after dinner event (yet to be scheduled). After Saturday breakfast we will offer some local options—anything from exploring parts of the Estansuela-Tisey Reserve to a trip to Estelí, the nearby town and leather capital of Nicaragua.

Saturday night will be another dinner at CoolTop with the plan for most to turn in early. Sunday, we will whisk you back to the airport so you can be home early to get ready for returning to "the old grind". But, we promise you will be more refreshed than those that went to the mall instead of to CoolTop.

Options

Like all our special packages, we what to offer you options. For those living in Nicaragua, you may just want to come up and spend Thursday with us including our special Thanksgiving dinner. No problem but please contact us for reservations as that dinner is not a regular menu item.

For those traveling down from the U.S., you are welcome to stay past the weekend. If you have the time, hang out at low weekday rates. We will offer some day trips to keep you occupied.
