CoolTop Community

The CoolTop Community is located in the area of San Nicolas as well as in the Tisey reserve. For someone from the U.S., Estelí is the equivalent of the state and San Nicolas is the equivalent of a county. Like in many counties in the U.S., they share their name with the largest city. For example, the city of Los Angeles, California is located within Los Angeles country.

Natural Flora

Cool Top lies at the heart of the Tisey- Estanzeula reserve situated an area of outstanding unspoilt natural beauty. There are 50 acres of pine forest on the higher parts of the estate at around 1300 metres with Pinus oocarpa and Pinus maximinio dominating.

There are 28 species of mammals in the Tisey reserve.

Sometimes words aren't enough to describe something. That is very true of the CoolTop facility. Being here is, of course, the best option but we have prepared the following visual presentations for those of you who can't or aren't ready to visit in person.

CoolTop Properties, S.A., a Nicaraguan corporation, was formed in 2007 to be the owner of an Eco-Tourism facility. Most of 2007 was spent looking for the right location for the facility. This page offers information about the major participants in the project.

The CoolTop Eco-Resort is located in a national reserve called Tisey-Estanzuela (Reserva Natural Tisey-Estanzuela). The reserve is managed by FIDER, Fundación de Investigación y Desarrollo Rural). In these pages we want to tell you about the reserve itself.
