We are located within the Reserva Natural Tisey-Estanzuela (Tisey-Estansuela Nature Reserve) in the Department of Estelí, Nicaragua. Some maps identify Cuevas de Apaguají which is located within our property.

We are about 10 kilometers south and a bit west of the city of Estelí, a few kilometers north and a bit west of the town of San Nicolás.

We are located at about 1300 meters (4300 feet) above sea level. In the tropics, temperature is more a function of altitude than anything else. Expect comfortable daytime temperatures in the range of 20 to 30° Celsius (67 to 85° Fahrenheit year round. The warmest months will be March and April.

CoolTop Properties, S.A., a Nicaraguan corporation, was formed in 2007 to be the owner of an Eco-Tourism facility. Most of 2007 was spent looking for the right location for the facility. This page offers information about the major participants in the project.
